The Panasonic Eneloop Pro (model BK-3HCDE) is a 5th generation NiMH rechargeable battery type AA (R6) for professional use. It boasts a nominal capacity of 2500 mAh (2450 mAh minimum guaranteed) while maintaining low self-discharge (1 year → 85% charge retention) which is better than most alkaline single-use batteries. This new cell can operate at temperatures as low as -20°C.
Eneloop Pro rechargeable batteries are particularly well suited for use with photography equipment. Their large capacity and low internal resistance and patented construction allow them to power even the hungriest of flashes.
After Panasonic acquired the assets of Sanyo Electric Co. Japan back in 2014, the Eneloop batteries now carry the Panasonic logo. This however is the only change: just like before, all new Eneloop cells are manufactured in Japan and are delivered pre-charged with clean solar energy, ready for use out of the pack.
